Jane M Marshall
Jane Marshall (1924-2019) is known for her anthems and for her choral conducting, that latter which she taught at Perkins School of Theology, SMU. Also a poet and hymn tune writer, she is represented in many hymnals and served as a consultant to the committee preparing the 1989 United Methodist Hymnal. She is the author of Grace, Noted, a collection of homilies, poems, and lectures.
Jane received Bachelor and Master of Music degrees from Southern Methodist University, where she also served on the English, Music, and Seminary faculties. Her professional affiliations included membership in the Hymn Society of America, Mu Phi Epsilon, Pi Kappa Lambda, The American Guild of Organists, and Choristers Guild. She also served on the Board of Directors of Choristers Guild.
