Carolyn Hamlin
Carolyn Hamlin is an active composer, arranger, and organist. She is a graduate of North Greenville University and also studied organ and piano at Furman University with David Gibson and Edwin Clark as well as at Bob Jones University with Karl Stahl. She studied composition at Westminster Choir College's summer study workshops under Alice Parker. Carolyn is a composer of many organ, choral, and piano works, with publications in the catalogs of Lorenz, Fred Bock, Genevox, Purifoy, Monarch, Majesty, Beckenhorst, Shawnee/Hal Leonard, Alfred, SoundForth, and Hinshaw music companies. She is a member of ASCAP, Pi Kappa Lambda, and AGO. The Hamlin Recital Hall in the Performing Arts Building at North Greenville University is named in Carolyn's honor. North Greenville University awarded Carolyn an honorary Doctorate of Music degree, and she received the Order of the Silver Crescent, South Carolina's highest civilian honor.
